This is so scary, and sad. 785 babies under the age of 5! I cant even begin it imagine sending my babies away not certain of their safety. I can understand that people dont know what to do. I can understand people saddened and out raged but I cant understand turning them away. It is true we arent doing what we need to for our own poor but its not because we cant. The resources are here. The money is here. Their are families here willing to open their homes to these babies. I understand that children are costly but they are also people. Who like our own poor and veterans and mentally ill should be taken care off. Feeding America can feed a family of 4 on a $1.19 (I think thats whats on the side of my cereal box) if our politicians step aside and we all gave up one coffee or beer or happy meal we could make a HUgE difference. The Bible is full of stories of helping the poor, feeding the Hungary, caring for the sick we claim to be a country under God but we chose to only hear the parts we want to. What you do for the least of these you also do for me. I pray for these children, for our politicians, for those at the fence and those mothers left behind. I hope before you dismiss these children or think of closing our boarders you look at you own babies and think about how you would feel. Please consider helping them if not with you pocket book than with your vote.
