This is some great stuff. I get asked on occasion about WODs and what exercises I should be doing here is a great resource from Joe Dis page. I need to start incorporating these movements into my routines more. Great Stuff. REPOST: There are so many exercises out there but the truth is 90% of us only need about 5 (in addition to sprinting and running) and here they are, in order of importance for Average people, Athletes, and Better Athletes. Average people: 1. Squat (lower and core strength, ankle/hip/thoracic mobility) 2. Bear Crawl (coordination, hip mobility, anti-rotation, shoulder stability) 3. Pull Up (any style, upper strength, core) 4. Lunge (unilateral lower strength, core) 5. Broad Jump (total body explosiveness, core power) Athletes - Once the 5 above are mastered and loaded, add: 1. 1-Arm KB Swing (anti-rotation, everything hip, shoulder stability) 2. Heavy 2-Arm Swings (total body explosiveness, core power) 3. Get Ups (coordination, hip mobility, anti-rotation, shoulder stability) 4. Heavy, 1-Arm Carries (anti-rotation, core strength, badasserie.) 5. Sled Push/Pulls (unilateral lower strength, explosive power) Better Athletes - Once the 10 above are mastered and loaded, add: 1. Barbell Deadlift (total body strength, core) 2. Double Kettlebell Front Squat (lower strength, core) 3. Heavy 1-Leg RDLs (lower strength, anti rotation) 4. Heavy, 2-Arm Carries 5. Heavy 1-Arm KB Presses (upper strength, anti-rotation) Even Better Athletes, and Even Better Than Those Athletes, you guys will have to wait for another day....
