This is something I can relate too. Growing up in a military - TopicsExpress

This is something I can relate too. Growing up in a military family born on an autumn afternoon in Ft. Stewart Army Community Hospital all the way up to now was not at all a stagnate scene. When people asked me where are you from? I used to say everywhere in order to sum up all the places I lived. It was only recently I just excepted that my current state and city is where I am from. The number of schools I attended from K-12 is ten. I never lived in one place for more than four years. That was only once in Ft Benning, GA from 2001 to 2005. My family from my birth moved a total of ten times. I lived in the southeast, mid west, and western parts of the US. I also lived in Europe for three years. As you can see as a military dependent growing up; Ive been around the curb on more than one occasion. Growing up in a military family has made me resilient to change whether it was good or not so good and sometimes scary. My father Donald Cochran was also a military dependant growing up. With both his child hood and Army career combined, he moved more times than myself. But with all that said. I would not have it any other way . Ive had the opportunity to discover the world and different ethnic cultures with my own eyes. I am not single minded because I moved around so much. I know for sure that the world is not as bad as the national media Fox New, MSNBC, and CNN makes things to be. Yes there are very bad places but the one thing I have learned is that people are people everywhere you go. blogcritics.org/what-military-children-wont-tell-you/
