This is something I have been somewhat reluctant to do for the past month. MS2 is officially going to be putting a hold on chow sales for an indefinite time frame. It essentially boils down to three things--cost and time and my health. I have developed a great product, and literally do not make a fortune on it, why? Because we spend a lot of money on high quality ingredients. The bulk of the ingredients are organic and/or high quality human grade. Our profit margin is very small despite the cost of our chow, you might think otherwise. Even if it was more cost effective we wouldnt be able to continue as is. With the increased popularity we have gone from making our big batches (10 lbs) to 100 lbs at a time. My health has been something that has been a battle for years. While my husband was working here in town he could do it all and I would simply print labels and put them on bags--(and would do all the physical work with me doing minimal--he wouldnt let me because the physical pain as a result of doing vast amounts of chow would cause me). He is now working out of town and is sometimes home for just a week. My family time is far more important than continuing something that even if I believe in it with all my heart I need to put them first. I cannot physically do this by myself and we are not yet big enough to invest in infrastructure or staff. I thank everyone for their support. I have three specials in Fat Tail Nation, The Gecko Blog and Gecko Nation. These will be the last orders going out aside from the ones that I have already received. It is with heavy heart and some tears I write this. I will continue to be involved in the reptile community and expect beautiful gecko babies this year. I am going to post some beautiful breeding age geckos in the next week or so. Thank you to all the dear friends who have supported us. You all see me in the front but my husband Mark has been my biggest supporter all along, making my recipe under my guidance and being the biggest help anyone could ask for.
