This is something that infuriates me. I understand we live in a world where we need to be cognizant of danger and watch our kids more closely than when we were kids. However, my sons have been walking to their friends houses since they were that age. Its down the road and around the corner--probably a little less than half a mile. This mom gave her child a phone, and how are we to know that the walk was difficult? Maybe it was simply down the residential street in the neighborhood where they lived like so many subdivisions. Im not saying that we should all let our kids roam freely and not know where they are, but arresting parents for this? How about the kids who have parents so freaking high out of their minds on whatever drug is cheapest to get, that they just sit their kid in front of the TV all day? Those parents are better? Rant over. What do you think?
