This is stolen valor. I feel the same way when I see someone - TopicsExpress

This is stolen valor. I feel the same way when I see someone wearing anything on their back that says Vets on it when they are not one. It upsets me a lot. It should never happen. Just like the picture of Willie Nelson I shared where he is wearing a cap with a CIB on it. He is an Air Force vet. The USAF does not issue CIBs. I was USAF. I earned the USAF Outstanding Unit Award with Combat V. I consider that to be the equivalent to the Armys CIB. The man in this video, Willie and anyone who wears something on their back that says they are Vets when they are not, has stolen a part of many souls. They have no integrity. I know this will upset some but it is how I feel. If you served, be proud of serving whether you were in combat or not. Dont pretend you did if you didnt. We all did what we were told to do. If you served your entire military time stateside, be proud of it. Dont try to get attention for something you didnt do. You, even more that those who didnt serve, know better about stolen valor than any civilian. If you were a cook, be proud of that. Without you, we would not have had the strength to perform combat missions. Dont ever drop your head and say, I was just a ....., when asked what you did. Hold your head up, be proud, and state what you did. Without you, the team could not have performed in combat. If you never served, dont lead others to think you did and dont pretend you did. Thanks for reading my rant. Thank you for serving and thank you for supporting those who did. LLRB
