This is stormont and the PSNI/RUC idea of change in the 6 counties as Short Strand residents are corralled and hemmed in behind a barrier of steel, so the state can facilitate an unwanted and unwelcome orange order/ UVF parade which will pass their homes in about two and a half hours time. The reality is nothing has changed and Irish citizens are caged in to keep the Fenians in their place Open your eyes people and see whats in front if you This is 2014 not 1969 ................ Just back as this orange order /UVF march passed the area. The people of the Short Strand community were completely sealed off and barricaded in to their area by the PSNI/RUC supported as loyalists complete with union and UVF flags took control of the the bottom part of the Albertbridge rd on a stretch where only houses are occupied by Catholics. The bigots hurled their usual bile at residents while the PSNI /RUC and its political cheer leaders and represent ices of the parades commission looked on.
