This is surveillance video of the officer-involved shooting in St. Louis, Mo. last night. The incident occurs on the top left of the video. The police were called about a theft at the store. In the beginning of the video you see the suspect standing on the sidewalk in front of the store. He is standing to the left of a man in a white hat. At :30 you see the police car arrive. The officer is outside the police car, standing to the front of the drivers side door. The suspect is standing near the passenger side headlight. In the video the suspect appears to turn his back toward the officer and then walk away briefly and then turns around and approaches the officer and raises his arm toward the officer and aims a gun at him, according to St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar. The video stops at the point where the suspect has his arm raised. Police have not yet released the rest of the video out of concerns raised when the family of Eric Garner complained about repeatedly seeing video of their sons death on television. Following the fatal shooting, bystanders threw items at police and looted a nearby store. Two officers were sent to the emergency room, one for injuring his leg while running from the crowd and the other for injuries to his face from a brick thrown by someone.
