This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Remember the old songs? When Im restless and just cant sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep, and I fall asleep counting my blessings! I simply remember my favorite things, and then I dont feel so bad. Count your many blessings, see what God has done. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now Im found, was blind, but now I see. Today, notice the small miracles in your life... The light you managed to get through before it turned red. The cup of coffee that almost spilled, but didnt. The car that let you cut into traffic, rather than cutting you off. The hole you parred at golf, and not the ones you where you blew it. The dinner you didnt burn, in spite of fifty interruptions. The fact that you do have food for dinner, when so many people are going hungry today. The fact that the sun did come up, even though you might not be able to see if for the clouds or, possibly, you might not be able to see it at all. The fact that you drove around in city traffic all day and did not have an accident! The blooming flowers whose colors and aroma fill our hearts with the promise of Spring. The incredible colors in a sunset. The laughter of a child. The beauty of an elderly couple, holding hands and looking at each other like they just fell in love. Look around you at the miracles. Theyre everywhere! God fills your life with beauty and with miracles and with His infinite love. Take time today to see them all, and appreciate them - and to rejoice and be glad in Gods world.
