This is the final stretch that we all hate… The last 2 weeks of the semester where we are all cramming work and trying to understand the last 16 weeks… Trying to prepare for finals while writing term papers and working on group projects… All for that one cumulative exam worth anywhere from 30-40% of your final grade that will either make or break your grade in the class and eventually decide your GPA for the semester.. At the end of the day, about 99.9% of it doesnt matter and isnt needed in the real world.. The principles and the theory- Wonderful, but your future success is based on the training and mentorship you receive throughout your young professional career. And this is all based on networking and connections made. Will a grade truly make or break who you are as a person? Will an A or a C change who you are besides a letter grade on a piece of paper known as a transcript? If there is one thing I have learned and leveraged over the last 3.5 years of my undergraduate studies would be NETWORKING!! I will repeat it over and over again, you never know who you will meet and you can never take back a first impression. Now dont get me wrong, everything eventually ties back together to your education, but is all the stress worth it? You devote so much time to change maybe a B to an A and that may affect your overall GPA by maybe .5 points. At the end of the day it comes down to what you value the most- Your future success will not be determined by a letter grade, but by your ability to communicate effectively.. One of the main reasons people dont succeed in their professional careers is due to a lack of communication as well as an inability to LISTEN!!! Remember we were given 2 ears but only 1 mouth!! The purpose of this is not to outweigh the importance of finals or ones education- But to stress that your overall coursework is only a piece of the puzzle and this puzzle may contain a 1000 pieces. Get experience and learn from peers and utilize all your resources- Because after your undergrad or grad studies are up, its time for the real world!!!! P.S. Its not about the grammar. Read/Understand the context and put it into your own perspective!!
