This is the first Judy Garland album I collected (other than the Wizard.) As I sit here making a DVD of Judy stuff for a good friend, I was thinking about collecting our gal and how these have changed over the years. I was thinking about how the more modern collector has so many advantages over those of us who started years ago. With the internet and You Tube and places like this wonderful FB page, we would have thought we had died and gone to heaven. At the same time, what fond memories of hunting through used record stores for those lovely albums with new finds for us. Or trading VHS and/or audio tapes with other fans and seeing and hearing some of her wonderfulness for the first time. As the line goes from Babes in Arms, What a thrill. I so well remember a fan who was so kind to me in those early days, sharing the rarest of rare at the time. And later passing those gems along to other fans, like dear Fred Hough, and being so excited about things that are so available today. Just sort of walking down memory lane today. And I still love being a Judy fan, reveling in her genius, and getting just as excited about her today as I did so long ago. :)
