This is the full segment I did on the Im not gay no more video that went viral last week. It begins with a one-on-one interview with Bishop Brandon Porter, the minister from the video. We then moved to an AMAZING panel discussion with Leslie D Callahan Kl Kane, Jeffrey McCune, and Keri Day. Without exaggeration, it was one of my favorite conversations in a VERY long time. Also, a few quick notes in response to peoples concerns. First, I did NOT exclude Bishop from the panel discussion. He requested a one-on-one ahead of time. (He also asked that I plug the book of his son, who is a student at Morehouse (!!) ) Second, I did NOT surprise him with my questions. I told him ahead of time what Id say AND what my politics were. Third, I did NOT leave the young man from the video, Andrew Caldwell, from the segment. He was the FIRST person that I reached out to. He agreed to do the interview on Tuesday and his manager (!) called me the morning to cancel right before the segment. Fourth, I acknowledge that I was not neutral in my interview. I do not pretend to be objective on the question of whether gay people have a lifestyle that can be converted. I also am not objective on whether dinosaurs existed, global warming is real, or if 9/11 happened.
