This is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime, true love fairytale that keeps me believing in pegasus unicorns! :D My parents shipped off in the military immediately after their marriage- they assumed they would get to stay together- when they got to the airport & realized their 2 tickets were for different places, my mom was in tears, but they kept their love alive long distance through the first half-year of their marriage, at a time when there were no cell phones or email, writing to my great grandma (I affectionately call her Grandma-by-the-Park) to find out where the other soulmate was until my dad obtained a plane (he is a pilot) and flew cross country, landing in front of the womens barracks, consequences be damned! Pity was taken on the reunited newlyweds, who were given officers quarters for the night, and re-stationed together in West Germany (where sweet baby Candi made her entrance on da scene!)- even then, the were put on opposite shifts (Mom on the day-shift, Dad on the night-shift)- despite this, they stayed true in their devotion & have continued to keep their marriage going through nearly FOUR DECADES! So... To the guys who wont lift a single finger off their video game controller to show a woman love- REAL LOVE in ACTION- not just empty words that will only become broken promises- please know that I am not too highly impressed by your ability to withstand long periods on your ass... My parents set the bar pretty high on romance so ya... I would never settle for someone who wouldnt cross an ocean, the sky, or god knows what for me!!! (Diva snaps!!! Til callous forms!!!!) and Im still waiting on that pegasus unicorn too!!! (Pouts)
