This is the most important local thing Ive ever written. Please read. Why has the Manawatu Standard not asked, even once, why Mayor-and-National-electoral-candidate “Jono” Naylor hasn’t stood down from his Council office while running for a national one? It’s all very well for “Jono” to delineate a difference between his municipal duties and his potential Governmental ones, but the fact remains that every time he speaks publically as “Mayor ‘Jono’ Naylor”– and/or is quoted in the Standard as such –he receives publicity for his electoral bid.
