This is the most points #WVU has allowed in a shutout loss since a 48-0 loss to Washington & Jefferson in 1914.......Moot discussion for the most part because Coach Stewart is no longer with us (RIP). Story I heard as a very young man man by a old Priest that stuck with me and went though my mind as the boosters ie the money men decided that Ol Billy was just not enough to lead the program. Though he was a native son,loved the University,had the respect of the athletes and better success than most at any level - he was just from to close to home. As the Priests story went we look at anyone from 10 ,20 miles down the road as a "expert". So we went down the road and got our "expert" with his new fangled offense and Red Bull attitude. I said very little at the time told my friend Dave Read,Paula Hendricks Miller,my Dad and maybe a few others that I thought it was a mistake and that the whole process lacked tact and vision. Well I got this off my chest and I still root for the current staff and most importantly the players. Maybe next we import the group from down the road in Huntington?
