This is the news that prompted my earlier postings of wow and my comments about life time achievement awards, except that my, ever so modest brother, Strat deleted it, so my comments made no sense at all! (Thanks Strat!) So Im now happy to repost it. This is the boy that used to tell me stories on long car journeys and let me play with his chemistry set. (We made some awsome concoctions) and who helped my brother and I dig a trench across the garden - part trap for our parents, part archeological quest. I love you Stratford Caldecott Damn hes done it again (unless Im doing something wrong) - so yet again no one will know what Im wittering about. So Ill have to resort to the old cut and paste: In 2015, the Circe Institute will be hosting its 15th annual conference on the purpose, essence, and practice of classical education in Charleston, SC, and on that occasion it will present Stratford Caldecott with the 15th Paideia Prize for a lifetime contribution to classical education and the cultivation of wisdom and virtue. There, finally!
