This is the perfect EXAMPLE of when sharing FALSE INFORMATION goes completely WRONG. Let me shed a bit of light on this story because many of you who follow me may remember that I enlightened a lot of you on this young woman and her significance to European men. First off, Sarah Baartman was not really a slave nor was Venus Hottentot a common name used to degrade anybody let alone the black female. I was disgusted by the misinformation here til the point that I may have come off harshly because I know TOT and THOT have no similar significance. Hottentot according to classical slang was used to describe a group of African women as amazing, tempting, highly desired and seductive. It was seen only offensive by a minor amount of men and white women. The term was given to the Khoikhoi people of southern africa when they were envaded by european settlers in the late 1500 AD. The Khoikhois female intrigued European settlers so much that they often married with them and mixed races while at the same time plaguing small pox amongst the colonies of Africa. (Research Hottentot Khoikhoi) Thot, which is a Chicago derivative word is used to degrade a woman by describing her as loose, whorish and easily obtainable. TWO DIFFERENT MEANINGS! Hot and thot are nothing in comparison so to credit this childish term as history amongst blacks derived from a group of assholes who werent in attendance during this stage is utterly ridiculous. READING fake facts from others at times become the biggest downfall of people unaware who are seeking quick knowledge. BE VERY CAREFUL PEOPLE.
