So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962). This is the pledge that West Point Cadets now make, does anyone see something different about these pledges? Why are they different? Maybe they make one pledge while in the academy and another when they come out??? Maybe some of our retired Army veterans can clear this up for me please.
