This is the real me, no filters or edited images. This is where Im at for the start of my prep. As much as we all love being lean and shredded, its not ideal. It took me a while to be okay with my offseason look. When I started working with Layne Norton, I was the unhealthiest healthy person as I like to say. I looked healthy on the outside with my 6 pack abs and defined shoulders. However my healthy appearance did not match what was on the inside. My liver wasnt normal, I had yellow hands and feet because of it. I was so obsessed with my image that if I wasnt lean looking, I couldnt even look at myself in the mirror. I still am working on being okay with my image. I developed a few eating disorders that I still am overcoming. My metabolism needed work and I was doing so much cardio. I lost my menstrual cycle and havent had one in over 2 years. I will be lucky if I am able to have children some day. Things got so rough that I honestly wanted to take my own life. Ive never spoken out about any of this until now because I was ashamed. Embarrassed. I was miserable. In complete depression. I needed help. Working with Layne and being apart of Team Norton has changed my life. I am blessed. I took my time to reverse diet and it has paid off. It wasnt an easy process, but I did it. Im starting my prep leaner than any other prep. Happier. Healthier. The comparison shot is my last offseason (3 months long) vs this offseason (7 months long). I was honestly eating the same thing daily and had weekly cheat meals. Knew little about nutrition and just did what I was told. I was eating less than 100g of carbs, 30g of fats (if that) and was taking in enough protein for a 200lb guy. I also was doing 30 mins of fasted cardio in the morning and post workout. Now compare that pic to my offseason pic today. This offseason was close to 7 months long. I reverse dieted right after my show. I am 145lbs (same weight as my last offseason) My macros are 240c/60f/160p (doubled my carb and fat intake) I have more muscle. I am leaner. I only do 3 hiit sessions a week. I enjoy foods I never thought I would be able to have unless it was a cheat meal. We all have our own ways of dieting and thats fine. Im not here to tell anyone what to do. I am here to share what I have gone though and what I have learned though my struggles. Story time over! Now lets get this game on the road! Im comin for ya Worlds!
