This is the story of Detective John Perry of the NYPD. On Sept.11, 2001, John was down at Police Headquarters in Lower Manhattan to retire. This was Johns last day as a Cop. He had just handed in his gun, shield and retirement papers when someone told him that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center Tower. He immediately took back his gun and shield and told the people there he would be back later to complete his retirement. He ran to the site which is about 5 blocks from Police Headquarters, and began doing what he was trained to do, rescuing survivors. The last time anyone saw John, he was leading a group of people out of the Tower when it collapsed. Johns remains were found in March of 2002. Thank You John, Rest In Peace My Brother.
