This is the time for the academia,the intellectual fraternity,psychologist and civil organizations to critically analyse the mental composure of the two leading political figures. Akuffo Addo was a known ardent critic of Jerry Jerry John Rawlings on many occasions,he organized thugs in the name of demonstrations to hit the streets protesting against the PNDC regime under Rawlings.He single handedly supervised the removal of all diplomatic courtesies the former President enjoyed courtesy the constitution.He once described him as an academic drop out.For political convinience,he went to Rawlings to solicit for his advise and blessings prior to the 2012 elections referring to Rawlings as the most honest politician ever,this was at the time when Rawlings was on the heels of Akuffo Addos predecessor Kufour rightly calling him a thief. Akuffo Addo on any occasion the opportunity comes,refer to the eight year rule of Kufour as the best ever in the annals of our contemporary political administration yet vehemently condemns the sale of state properties to appointees and cronies.He has always attributed his 2008 defeat to reckless decisions by the leader he claims to be the best. He has stated emphathically his respect for Kufour yet found it proper and expedient to appoint as his spokesperson,somebody who openly attacked Kufour for his performing abysmally leading to the 2008 defeat,he went on to vehemently attack the personality of Kufour.Akuffo Addo could not come out to defend the atrack on the government he served at the highest level. He has always expressed his dislike for Konadu Agyemang Rawlings with the former first lady responding appropriately,for political convinience,he endorsed himself during his last 2012 campaign rally by telling his supporters Konadu has openly endorsed his candidature only to be known later that it was Ernest Owusu Bempahs political hallucination. We are told by people who worked closely with him like Malik Yakubu,Dr Apraku,Arthur Kennedy that,he lacks the capacity to check wrongs around him leading to the lost of 3billion cedis put under the care of Apraku in 2008,Arthur Kennedys book exposed his weakness as a leader and the open exchanges which ensued between party executives and Ken Agyepong attest to the leadership weakness his confidants talked about. He has not been able to openly or on the quiet called hawks around him to order not even those who were captured on tape organizing to bring rebels from Liberia to start civil war should they lose. We were told by Sammy Awuku that if had won the 2012 elections,youngmen in the party would have been directed to use pistil and machete to sack people from government institutions for them to take over. I honestly think we shouldnt just join the politician choir group to sing the common political tune,we must only consider the inconsistencies of Akuffo Addo,but we must deligently assess the mindset of persons around him and their motivation in taking their extremists positions.I forsee a state of nature situation should ghanaians make the unforgivable mistake of voting Akuffo Addo a leader.Humility and affablility must still guide our young and fragile democracy we shouldnt in haste throw this nation into the hands of undecisive leader who cant control his emotions as stated by his close friend Kofi koomson.
