This is the video that we put together to present the evidence that we collected at Fort Point, the masonry fortress that sits just below the Golden Gate Bridge on the South side of the span of the bridge. Fort Point was built just before the Civil War to defend San Francisco against attacking war ships. It is speculated that the hauntings of this location derive from the many ship wrecks that have occurred on the rocks nearby as well as the forts proximity to the bridge, where a vast number of suicides have taken place over the years. In fact, the Golden Gate Bridge is the second most used location for suicides in the world (just behind the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge in China). Most of the suicides that take place at The Golden Gate Bridge occur in the area between Fort Point and the center of the bridge. The disembodied voice that we captured during our investigation of Fort Point sounds like the desperate last words of a man falling to his death.
