This is weird. From what I see in this situation mentioned by Joseph, it seems to be just friends who do not deserve to be befriended with... or friends who sometimes get too close with you, they just like to joke a lil as spice of life, but if u feel offended and has expressed ur feelings, if they are true friend, I am sure they wont do so; if they are not, then why bother yourself with these people? I dont think it has anything to do with being typical or non typical chinese. Often than not, these are the phrases used that would eventually cause barriers between us. Malaysia has been varies enough with different races and ethnics, I see no point in starting this discrimination of typical or non typical issue. I am a Chinese who sings chinese songs more than English songs but I listened to both. I would sometimes joke around with friends who cant really speak Chinese well, but its the same as how they would joke back on my weird pronunciation in English, I dont feel offended and so thus them. Hence, I dont think I am loser, and I dont think I am TYPICAL Chinese just because I am doing all these, because the definition you give to support this title has been wrong throughout ur way... its just a matter of friendship and ways people interact, more on their attitude and behavior problem, dont mix up and create chaos between Chinese. I might be wrong, and you might not agree to this, but as far as I concern, you are a public figures, every words you said, it might be a role model for some fans out there, who responded to your words and think this is the way to call us, and hence barrier build up, Please be responsible to your status and words. haiz.....
