This is what "Ben van der Poel" had to say: I can tell you before - TopicsExpress

This is what "Ben van der Poel" had to say: I can tell you before we start physical doing, that it takes real doing in the mind beyond what most people are prepared to do, to become detached from the terrible past and the fantasy future do be in the now. The past and the future is the cause of the troubles we create for ourselves and we spend so much time wollowing in it. The brain likes the familiar, past experiences because it has a known response to and for it and the unknown pose a threat for which it has no response yet. This creates stress at a cellular level and therefore the imminent or survival mode of the conscious mind will suspend you in that sate of so-called safety for as long as possible even if it is to your detriment. The same goes for the fantasies (unrealistic expectations) we hold for the future by injecting other peoples values and priorities into our own lives and we the lose our authenticity and try to be someone we are not because we compare our self to those we admire and put on the pedestal thereby minimizing ourselves. This becomes an addictive behavior because of the dopamine the brain produce and those we put above us then run us and you are no longer you. Emerson said envious imitation and ignorance is suicide. But by turning to the now not allowing present circumstances to dictate our thinking and mood and observing negative emotional feedback we can investigate what is the cause of the negative feedback and then take positive metal action to break the dopamine fix or addiction. You then take back control and you become you and you run you! Remember to be awesome!
