This is what I posted earlier in the referendum page. Im opposed to a fixed link and ALL of my family live on the mainland so have VERY strong connections there, I dont get across to see them as often as I would like because of the ferry costs, but I feel that we should let Andrew Turner and his team progress with the issue we all asked him to tackle, that of the ferry costs! It has only been just over a month since he took our case to parliament, heres everyone jumping up and down now about a FL and the boat price issue isnt even done yet. Give this guy a chance to do what we have asked before telling everyone we want something different, it looks like we cant make our minds up and then the government will take naff all notice of anything that the islanders have to say. Things going through the commons take a bit of time and I think we as an island need to back our MP instead of arguing about something that will take longer to get heard than what is already in the pipeline. Please let me know your opinions :)
