This is what I posted on my local group page. I am posting this here to help me reach all of the school grade parents! PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN GC SCHOOLS: My child just came home today with a C in math, he has always been on the honor role, I was floored! I asked him how this happened, he told me it was the new math concept and it was confusing him. I asked him if it was called common core, he said yes! PARENTS, we have to get together and stop this! Common core was not even developed by an educator, it is some BS and makes not a bit of sense, no longer is 2+2=4, they are teaching our children screwed up math, and when the government finally realizes this and it is shut down, it will be too late, because the younger kids will think that this is how math is suppose to be. I think we should all get together and approach the superintendent (I was told she is not willing to opt out, IF that is the case, then she needs to be removed), Basically the government is paying the schools to make our children dumb, I would rather pay extra taxes so that our children are educated correctly! I can not do this alone, I will need the backing of all the parents who care about their children to help me. Schools CAN opt out of teaching Common Core! Who is with me? I ENCOURAGE you to please look up common core! I am doing further research now, any positive input is welcome!
