This is what Im dealing with My Friends Wendy Rice Dawkins-Richard Dawkins Ms. Werner, I have a one-eyed black lab with a deformed head. I rescued her from a breeder with an overbred dog that killed most of her puppies. I brought mine home when she was three weeks old. She had a crushed skull, her eyes were swollen shut, and I had to feed her with a syringe every two hours. She is seven years old right now and one of the best dogs Ive ever had. I have a ten year old cat that was abandoned on our road as a kitten. Our most recent family member is a sweet little male kitten that my daughter adopted from her favorite teacher. We opted to do the responsible thing and have him neutered. As a certified ag teacher with countless hours of veterinary experience, her ag teacher was the obvious choice to perform the procedure on the cat he gave us. The young male was administered pain meds/numbing agent just like at a spay/neuter clinic- much the same as a man having a vasectomy. My child was able to assist and learn about the responsible way to fight overpopulation of cats. Im kind of perplexed as to why you are so upset about this because our kitten is perfectly fine. He came right home, played with his toys, and snuggled up with the dogs for a nap. He is vaccinated and healthy and happy. So why this vicious vendetta against a professional teacher who works hard to teach his students respect for animals and the necessity of humane treatment of all animals? You are obviously a person who is passionate about rescuing animals. Perhaps you could focus your efforts on animals that actually need help since you now know that there were no animals at the high school that needed rescuing.
