This is what Nikon should really have done: A Digital S3 (or SP). It doesnt have to be an interchangeable lens camera, a fixed 50mm f/1.4 one would do. Imagine a full-frame (preferably a 16MP D4 or D4s sensor) with a prime 50mm f/1.4 N lens specially designed for the sensor. I rarely change the lens on my Leica anyway. Most rangefinder shooter I know tend to find the one focal length for himself and just stay there. Then why a 50 and not a 35? Well, Im a 50mm guy, and also the Nikon S began with the 50 and always sell with the 50 as the kit. Heck, Nikon even redesigned the cosmetic of the 50mm f/1.8G as the kit for the Nikon Df. Im not keeping my fingers crossed nor holding my breath, but I would really love Nikon, for once, to really do the right thing for this niche market. jeziorki.blogspot/2013/03/d3200-shoots-x100.html
