This is what happens ... it makes me just a little upset, what do you think? I send a heartfelt card, every day, to someone that needs one for whatever reason. Often its someone I dont know, a child, or teen, that has lots of medical issues, no friends, whatever, and theyre given a card shower by a loved one to show them theyre special and that there are lots of people out there that care about them. These people usually state only a card ... but now this has become so popular that Im getting at least one invite a day to a card shower that states send cards & gifts to and these are for no reason other than the (usually) mom wants her child to get hundreds (if not thousands) of gifts. I find this greedy and an abuse of peoples kindness, and I refuse to participate in them. I even got an invite to a card shower that someone was throwing themselves! I REALLY love doing it for someone who truly needs or deserves ... but its getting harder to weed them out ... Im starting to feel like someone that won the lottery and suddenly everyone has their hand out! Wrong? What do you think of this?
