This is what happens when the prison-for-profit system becomes too-big-to-fail so that it must be continuously bailed out (just like our banks and all the other too-big to exist monopolies); in this case, by Congress -- yes, I said CONGRESS -- passing legislation that creates minimum mandated sentences for crimes that Judges would normally accept fines, probation, or a few months in jail. BUT, our CONGRESS is getting rich investing in the for-profit prison industry, so it is in THEIR best interest to keep those prisons filled and those profits growing. Too-big-to-fail simply means the wealthy are making big bucks off of it. The United States is, without a doubt, the most corrupt nation on the planet; led by greedy, psychopathic thieves and murderers. What is it going to take for the people of this country to figure out what is going on... AND PUT A STOP TO IT. It is going on right in front of your face every minute of every day. Cant you SEE it??????
