This is where the U.S trumps Hong Kong. They have codes and regulations for almost everything. Apparently, Hong Kong buildings are not built with adequate vent pipes to help with the sewer smell. Venting pipes costs money, and they basically half arsed the construction. I wouldnt complain so much if we didnt have to pay an arm and two kidneys to live here. In fact, we hoped that by paying a little more means we would get some accommodations that we were accustomed to in the U.S, oh like I dont know--not having my apartment smell like a total bum-hole. Anyways, nothing get fixed with me nagging--but truth is, I expected a little more than this. BTW the freezer situation, yeah we have to pay almost $130 USD (1,000HKD) for them to come down and access the situation before they can fix it. Also, the handle on our shower door totally broke off. To get out of the shower, I have to use my nail to pry the door open. Again, its not Hong Kong---Its the situation, I would complain just as much if this happened in the States. -_- If I get shingles next week, I wouldnt even be surprised. P.S The food is AMAZING here LOL.
