This is why I love London: last night I was in Bleeding Heart - TopicsExpress

This is why I love London: last night I was in Bleeding Heart Yard, where in 1626 society hostess Lady Elizabeth Hatton was brutally murdered, and the yard and surrounding buildings are largely as they were then. An hour later, I was 52 stories up the Shard, with amazing views of Tower Bridge. This morning I walked past a five star hotel built on a busy roundabout, the London Eye which looked (as always) as if it isnt built straight, and then watched artists working to put together the Festival of Love on Southbank, including a very cool set of slides to celebrate the moment you catch your child at the bottom of a slide, and (OMG OMG) my dream come true: a Frozen Yogurt bus. Want! And finally, a few minutes ago, I faced the thronging mass of humanity which surges through Waterloo Station at rush hour - each for their own - and stopped to let a little old granny of 85 or 90 struggle past with her trolley. Sometimes this place blows my mind.
