This issue highlights one of the greatest dangers of the internet....that many gullible people can be and are influenced by crackpot, lunatic ideas such as that vaccinations are dangerous. The moronic ideas of those who scare up anti-vaccination fears rely upon the inability of the vast majority of people to grasp a very simple mathematical concept. If a million people are vaccinated and thereby as a result of vaccination 100 people die, then it is a pity that the ones who perish do die....but those few deaths are a necessary cost of avoiding MANY THOUSANDS WHO WILL DIE FROM CONTRACTING THE DISEASE !! To avoid vaccinations because of the small cost in lives at the outset is breathtakingly idiotic....if I have a 100 in a million chance of dying from a vaccination or a 10,000 in a million chance od dying if I do not get vaccinated...the rational thing is to accept the VERY VERY small risk and get vaccinated.
