This issue of Edgar Lungu has kept me thinking for a while. I barely knew the guy until he messed up and LAZ had to revoke his licence as a practising lawyer in 2011. So far, all I have heard about him are more of discredits than credits e.g. How he swindled his clients and how he lost his jobs from ZCCM, Barclays, etc because of drunkeness and indiscipline. Did I mention of how he lost his practising licence as a lawyer? Whats worse now is the way he has been mishandling himself during this transition period. The mans hunger for power and insurbodination to his boss is not in tandem with the way he is portrayed by his supporters. However, I must confess that the man has risen from zero to hero over a fortnight. I salute him for that. However, I have not gotten any convicing pros from the people that are supporting him to take over. If one or three people may, I request that you help educate me on why this excitement about Edgar. Please dont give the jubilee story, how calm he looks when walking, let alone the anointing ... And if you may, try to dispute the negative stories rotating the media...
