The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, presides over the vaunted Blue Note Jazz Festival this year (June 14-15 at Radio City Music Hall) , and she hints at the star power assembled in the fourth annual installment of this event, held throughout town in many venerable halls. The lithe vocalist Bobby McFerrin collaborates with the ubiquitous drummer and bandleader Questlove at Town Hall (June 13); the blue-eyed soul guru Michael McDonald croons at Town Hall (June 26), the icy cool fusion duo André Previn and Christian McBride hold a short residency at Blue Note Jazz Club (June 6-8), and the Brazilian bossa nova legend Sérgio Mendes makes a rare appearance at the B.
