This kind of attack against academics and others has been a major strategy of the Israeli government especially since the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010 when an Israeli think tank, the Reut Institute, formulated a plan of seek out, attack and destroy critics of Israel by accusing them of anti-Semitism.
