This lady is my new hero! Watched Whats love got to do with it this past weekend. And while I have seen it before, things grab at me more now that I am older. So, it prompted me to do some research on Ms. Turner (whom I have always loved)- and while we all know about Ike....and their relationship, what many may not know is that her parents abandoned her when she was a little girl. They moved away, taking her sister with them and left Tina with her grandmother because they just didnt want her. True story. But....boy look at her go. 69 years old when this was filmed.....74 now and still going. I love this song and am currently learning it and making it (River Deep Mountain High) my go to karaoke song! And as my other hero, Martina, would sing: With a broken wing, she carries her dreams....man you ought to see her fly! Go Tina!
