This letter is to invite you to participate in our Adopt a Tree fundraising event to be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Town of Ramapo Cultural Arts Center, in Spring Valley, New York. (64 N. Main Street – Spring Valley, NY). As, you might have heard about the world food shortage that emerged in the years of 2007-2008 and worsened in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. The severe impact of this crisis leaves our planet very fragile. At this present moment, billions of people around the world are dying due to starvation. While the United Nations stated it is a chronic problem, others have declared that our leaders created this crisis by their own reckless strategies. Consequently, developing countries’ food imports are rising dramatically and Haiti is a prime example. PANAD strongly believes the way to alleviate this global crisis is through agriculture and environmental protection. We are deeply committed to do that. If a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, by supporting this initiative, you have begun your own journey to ease this global crisis. We truly hope to see you there!
