This little boy is from Argentina. His family gave him a wooden board to serve his meat (a custom). You will hear him say Gracias (Thank You). Notice his level of gratefulness for the board and then his level of gratefulness for his next gift. This will blow your mind! When a family creates consciousness in a child that EVERY gift is to be appreciated (not to mention Money Doesnt Grow on Trees), the child does not take for granted what is given to him. This boy knew the sacrifice the parents have made to get him those gifts...and it shows. How do we create this type of consciousness? We teach our children strong work ethics. We talk to them about our daily expenses. We let them know when something is out of our financial reach or when we have to save for it. We dont buy them every thing. We show them what a grateful heart looks like and we model thankfulness to God for all we have. If we constantly complain about what we dont have, they will see it and copy that attitude instead.
