This little run of ours is getting closer. Anyone getting nervous? Seriously, I know some of you folks are coming from out of town and may not be familiar with New Orleans or with Audubon Park. If you have any questions, send me a message. The Course: Its a two mile loop, all asphalt, thats lit by street lights. You shouldnt need a head lamp. A few areas are a little bit dark, but I have run it the past two years without a light. If you are not sure, or if you want your path well lit, bring a head lamp. Start/Finish: 6500 Magazine St, New Orleans, Louisiana 70118, Shelter 10 in Audubon Park, across from the zoo on Magazine Street. A link to a map is at the top of the page. Ed Melancon told people last year to just look for me and that I would be the only person dressed all in black. Expect the same attire this year. Weather: Hot as Hell, from Dusk to Dawn! Seriously, are you expecting any other weather? Aid Stations: One at the start and finish. Shelter ten has a bathroom and water fountains. Bring your own nutrition and fluids. This is, after all, a fatass event. Last year we just left our coolers, chairs, etc at the end of our cars. You will pass within inches of your car as you enter and leave Shelter Ten. I cant guarantee it, but no one bothered anything last year. Swag/Prizes: Zilch. Nada. None. See previous comment, this is a fatass event. Event Shirts: For those of you that ordered HtH D2D shirts, I will have them for you prior to the race. Parking: At Shelter Ten. Lap Counting: We use a white board and dry eraser. Every time you finish a lap, put a mark on the talley board by your name. This race is on the honor system, so be honorable.
