This may appeal to some of us simply because of the vibrant colors which remind us of our childhood in Mexico, or a vacation to Guatemala...whatever...the shapes are shapes found in nature..either the magic mushrooms of the forest or an underwater landscape that a scuba diver like me may contemplate , while breathing in , breathing out in my regulator under water. If our imagination is vivid, we may come to appreciate this. Appreciating Art, like appreciating women, wine, horses, architecture...takes caring, time and love for it. Without love , there is no desire for anything beautiful...we need love and harmony to create this. This is the message of art. all is well, I am happy...like it is for much of the music we love. art reassures us and reminds us that one Human Being, like the painter of this canvass, has tremendous power to render this world uglier or nicer, depending on what we choose to paint...Without being in denial, good art usually has a dark side present as well...because it is our dual or multidimensional nature; on-off, light-dark...love-hate, push-pull...etc..
