This meek and mild DJ was so honored and humbled to be a part of The Veterans Day Ceremony at Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies as MC this morning. Thank you from the bottom of my touched and softened heart to Darrell Manis, Vicki Simms, Cindy Cameron Ogle, Mayor Jerry Hays, Vice Mayor Mike Helton, City Commissioner Mark McCowan, Col. David Evans, Captain Jim Maples, The Gatlinburg Pittman High School Band, The City of Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, to Mel who graciously and tearfully bequeathed to me one of his treasured Veteran pins, and to ALL who have served and are still serving and sacrificing for our country, for our freedom, for my city, for my household and my children, for my life...Thank you cannot nearly convey the depth of my gratitude but were I to spill from my heart how grateful I am to you, like the river that goes on and on, the flow from my heart would never end. It was a glorious morning to pay homage to the fine men and women who have given so much for our liberty! To all who attended today, thank you for coming out, and I hope I will be blessed yet again to be a part of such a prestigious and honorable occasion!
