This message is from Tristine Clark, National President of Plunket. Good morning all, This week is National Volunteer Week, and on behalf of the National Board, I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the role volunteers make to Plunket. Without the support of all those who give us time, commitment and support, Plunket would be unable to deliver the number of services we do throughout New Zealand. I would like to ask everyone who meets a Plunket Volunteer to stop and say “thank you”. Our Volunteers work in partnership with Plunket staff and members of your local community to provide Plunket services, support and the education needed to help give every child in New Zealand the best start in life. Whether a Volunteer runs a playgroup in Wellington, fixes toys in Gisborne, teaches high school students in Invercargill or sits on the Auckland Board, they give their time so that parents and families in New Zealand have the support they need within their communities. One of Plunket’s strengths is our connection to our local communities and it is with the support of our Volunteers that we keep that connection strong. Please join me in thanking our volunteers. Tristine Clark New Zealand President
