This might be long so bare with me. I want to clear up the rumor mill before it gets out of hand. As many of you heard by now, I will be leaving the R&R Motorsports #4R at the end of the season. I had a meeting last week with the car owner and this was MY decision. The reasons are this: (1) Im hoping to take my son racing next season in a quarter midget and (2) my wife and I are expanding our business. Both of these things will take alot of time and effort. Because of this, I cannot commit to the racing schedule of 35 or so races that Ive had the last several years. It just simply takes up too much time at this point in my life. The #4R car is a very good team and it wouldnt be fair to them to sit the car next season because I have other commitments. We have enjoyed 2 amazing seasons together and I thank everyone involved for that. BUT, I have NO INTENTIONS of retiring, as I have heard over the past several days. And I do not have another ride lined up either. At this time, I have no concrete plans for 2015 and beyond. In saying that, I am very open to running a 20-25 race schedule if possible. And I would really like to run for another Williams Grove track championship if something became available to do it. I am hoping for another opportunity to continue my racing career. Racing is still very fun for me and as long as Im competitive, I would like to continue to do it. I just wanted to clear these things up. Have a great day!!!
