This mob mentality approach the media is taking with this Ray Rice story is awful. ESPN and CNN are on at my job and that video plays over and over sometimes on all the TVs at once. How much are we as a society willing to punish the victim in order to get our supposed justice against the perpetrator? Its like Beauty & The Beast with the whole town with torches and pitchforks. Belle knew he was a beast, knew he was violent and angry, but she chose to stay with him and love him anyways. It wasnt up to the town to decide for her. Ray Rice did an awful thing. But we cant immediately assume hes a straight up awful human being. And if Janay and Ray have been healing this whole time, only for TMZ and the rest of the media to reopen the wound ten fold and force the world to see, when are we gonna look at ourselves as a whole and realize were doing more damage than good? Janay and Rayven cant even leave the house right now with out seeing that video over and over. Janay said her self she regrets the part she played in that event.
