This month, an endangered sea turtle named Pierce will need a ride with his staff member from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island to his new home at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa. Pierce is a juvenile green turtle who is 22 inches long, 6 inches high, 13 inches wide and weighs 16 pounds. A pilot is needed to help with the transport. Leslie Weinstein is a member of the University of Florida Development Board on the Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research. Weinstein is also the owner of True-Lock LLC, an aviation company and this is one of their programs showcasing the importance of general aviation to communities. Leslie J.
