This month’s character trait is Determination, which is defined as purposing to accomplish right goals at the right time, regardless of the opposition. Determination motivates us to work with others to achieve objectives, even when we have to sacrifice comfort and convenience. A worthwhile purpose is worthwhile, even though there may be obstacles. If one plan fails, we must remember our original purpose and find another way to accomplish the goal. We show determination by knowing our destination, making appropriate preparations, and going over, around, under, or through the obstacles. The difficulties we encounter reveal and strengthen our character while we build determination to surmount each obstacle.
