This morning I am doing an emergency crochet test... I spent 9 hours yesterday doing a tutorial but I lost my way in a portion of it. I questioned it... questioned it some more... frogged some of it... and at the end, my hat ended up being too big by an inch... which tells me... I knew I was adding an extra stitch but I couldnt figure out why I was as I was trying to follow the consistency of the pattern... so today... I dont have the same yarn I used in the video... so I think I am going to do a 3rd hat as I had a hat for prototype that Colleen did... I did my hat on camera... but her hat was tighter than mine... I lay awake last night thinking and thinking and thinking... knowing I am having doubts about my tutorial... if I release it... everyone who sees the video is going to screw up and complain the hat doesnt fit... So here goes another 8 hours today... I wish I would have drawn a crochet diagram for myself yesterday... I bet I would have made sense of it and got myself back on track instead of shrugging my shoulders accepting that I may or may not be wrong! I dont think I am alone in screwing up patterns! Im so thankful Cathy is back with us to take the pressure off the inbox from me and helping people at random throughout the day.
