This morning I bring some sad news Im afraid. Many of you will remember our very special foster cat Plum, a mature lady with arthritic legs and a naturally grumpy face. Plum was with us for 6mths until Catherine adopted her in March - she left huge paw prints on my heart! She was recently diagnosed with end stage renal disease and a severe heart murmour. She was given lots of TLC and veterinary care, and even had some acupuncture for her pain. I was blessed to get to spend a weekend with her last week when Catherine was away. She was frail and doddery and not eating too well but she still had the so-familiar head butts for me. Beautiful Plum passed away during the night at the vets after collapsing at home yesterday - she made her own choice to leave us for pastures new. Everyone who met Plum will have been touched by her character and should be proud to have known her. She knew love and compassion in her last months and spent her last days pottering in her sunny garden with Catherine. Our thoughts go to Catherine too for having such a short, but special time, with the little lady. RIP Miss Plum Pants - Rainbow Bridge is lucky to have you xx
