This morning I had a conference call with representatives of ROIC, the new owners of Fallbrook Center. I pitched four ideas for their consideration: 1. Letting the West Hills Neighborhood Councils Emergency Preparedness Committee place a 20-foot storage container on their property. It would hold supplies for use in the event of a disaster. 2. Converting the area between AMC and Sport Chalet into a communal space for music, art and public gatherings. 3. Letting Levi Ponce, the brilliant young muralist, have access to the walls behind Michaels. 4. Arranging a deal with the city and the WHNC to allow construction of a community center on the northwest corner, where the old auto center used to be. They listened attentively and promised to pass these ideas to the higher-ups. Ill keep you posted.
